In this "suction"-sector, because of the eccencitricity of the rotor, the liquid ring is moving outwards of the chamber: The volume of the chamber increases. The moving of the ring creates a void, a vacuum, the gas is entering into the chamber as in this sector the chamber is crossing the inlet port. |
